A look&learn tour aimed to explore and understand partnerships on crop production and marketing involving communities and the private sector took place in South Africa from the 31st of January to the 2nd of February 2012.

The tour  aimed to facilitate an exchange of information between regional crop extension counterparts and farmers. This provided an opportunity for the zimbabwean and mozambican officers and farmers to understand how their southafrican counterparts establish joint ventures on crop production and marketing with private sector and financial institutions.

Mozambique had a total of 10 partecipants comprised of officers from the Gaza Provincial Agricultural Department.

Zimbabwean partecipants were comprised of officers from AGRITEX, Rural District Council as well as farmers from Irrigations and Dry lands from Tshipise and Sengwe communal lands of Beitbridge.
